This fight between Law and Kid vs. Big Mom is literally so funny and probably one of the best fights till now.

Or maybe its not just the clouds, but rather the air particles that make the clouds. As you know, air can seem invisible so from a distance, it looks like he's on nothing when in reality it's lighter air molecules than the dense ones that form visible clouds.

yeah that makes perfect sense and explains how he is unable to control kaido's clouds but during the last few scenes, we see momonosuke able to finally pull kaido's clouds without any support. that is my small gripe but lol just nitpicking. i just hope they added yellow clouds behind/below momonosuke's feet

Oh yeah, Law really does counter Big Mom, especially with his last move on her, which the announcer at the end does kind of hint towards. I remember being really surprised and hyped when his last move against her was using in the manga, like, it makes so much sense, but at the same time, no sense at all XD

Yeah.The problem with Kid is that he needs metal for using his ability or else he is useless, especially now that he has lost an arm. Big Mom and Kaido have thick and tough skin. I think of Law's K-room as creating a room around his sword and expanding it to stretch the sword through Big Mom. Maybe that's why the stabbing is harmless

Reason for stabbing being harmless is because of K-Room. Seemingly inspired by scalpel being used in surgeries (which also can cut open flesh without pain simply because it cuts cleanly with least amount of pressure applied, so pressure is not enough to inflict pain), K-Room looks like a pocket dimension forcing the initial dimension outwards, so even when it pierced Big Mom, there is no pain, because there is no cut, since her flesh only slightly got pushed aside by that blade thin dimension. And she didn't even feel anything with that comparably giant body as a result.

When you manipulate space, you can counter a lot of things :) So yeah...

Storytelling wise this fight was the dumbest in the entire series. Law and Kid had no relationship to big mom. Luffy is the one she had a beef with and luffy with her. Big Mom and her family shouldn't have been in Wano. It would have been better if the 3 had faced Kaido together. Law and Kid taking blows from Big Mom? Such BS. Shorty after both of them get obliterated by Shanks and Blackbeard respectively.

As enjoyable as OP can be, it's far from unmatched. You should read more stories.

I disagree because what you are describing is moment to moment story telling and One Piece has been doing it for 20 years, so ofcourse some moment to moment scenes might not be the best, but OVERALL package there is no modern anime in existence that is better.
The setups, the world is just crazy fleshed out.
And that is from episode 1.
Meanwhile you have great Animes today like Jijutsu Kaizen, which have great moment to moment action and story, but are just lackluster in everything else.

is there any other manga with world building, lore-filled, and mystery/drama/action/comedy-packed that is as vast , as unique and as complex as one piece, and the story is still continuing to this day? sign me up pls, but not those 20-episode 100 chapter ones though. not enough to satisfy me anymore hahahaha

you do realise Big mom was not fighting seriously at all right? She was playing with them, thats why she never used Conqurors haki awakening like Luffy and Kaido are. We know she has it because she used it on Page 1 but she never used it in this fight and the only time she used Armament haki was when Law was on top of her which shows you she could easily have tanked Kid's attacks but she didnt need to.

It's already unmatched but yes it would be better but it would take even longer to animate

Midd's durability is MC level yet he get's one shot by Shanks along with Killer cuz at the end of the day he's Midd.

Damn, that was intense, especially the beginning of the episode which is the end of Big Mom's era. Gotta admit Misery looks way more terrifying in the anime than the manga. Overall good episode. Law awakened technique sure rekt Big Mom badly.

What I don't like about Big Mom vs Kid & Law's fight is that they are barely using haki, which is almost the opposite of Kaido & Luffy's fight. For instance, Big Mom must have conqueror's haki, so why is she not using it? She's being nerfed, isn't she? She's turned into a comic relief.

Tbh i think we're at a point where Haki is implied.

Kid couldn't have kept his body in one piece against Misery otherwise.

Same with Law and being used as a punching bag by Big Mom directly.

It's a stylistic choice so that everything isn't coated in a shiny black coating with lightning effects.

This and also Big Mom is primarily a DF fighter in the first place. Her observation and armament Haki isn't anywhere near Kaido's cuz she relies too much on her natural strength/ durability(and probably hasn't trained a day in her life lol).

She is using haki and this does get brought up later in the story as well but yes this is primarily a DF battle. which imo isn't that bad because DF's are more interesting than Haki is. She's been nerfed to an extent but she also just got tired after a bit, she has been fighting non-stop since the battle on the roof top against an opponent who can bypass her tough skin so this is the most amount of damage she has received in a long while and as a result has tired the 70 y/o out a bit

I think they are using haki. They must be infusing their attacks with haki energy. It's like how Luffy Combines his Haki and DF's power while using Gear Fouth.
